Sh DramaEXCELLENT This creepy novelette had some unexpected twists A perfect rainy night read Colleen A Parkinson award winning playwright of The Injured Child Shelly Award and Waiting for the TrainWhat a creepy little novella The sense of panic and fear and desperation jumps off the page and infests the reader's mind seeps into the bones like a cold winter day An excellent read Heather Miller uaint and Curious Volume. Just finished 'The Wake' a short but powerful read with a couple of twists thrown in that kept me intrigued to work out and stay up way longer than I'd initially intended I would definitely recommend it for a uiet night in just don't forget to leave a light on or you may just start seeing shadows where there aren't any The atmosphere it evoked as I read it was fantastic I truly felt transported to the West Coast of Ireland This only helped to create believable and well defined characters who I feel as if I may have encountered in some way or another at some point I look forward to seeing from the author as his grasp of the genre is evident read it you won't be disappointed

The Wake an Irish ghost story for the long winter nightsAs mourners gather around the deceased secrets Michael thought were long buried are unearthed and with them a past he realises he can never escapeuietly compelling and deeply chilling The Wake is a haunting story about the inescapable power the dead continue to wield over the livingReally excellent story I love the spectral echoes of Joyces The Dead I was gripped Graham Price author of Oscar Wilde and Contemporary Iri. A brilliantly creepy read Loved it
