I think this is a great book Although it was wrtitten primarily for young girls who are about to be taking their exams Anyone can benefit from it really Of course I bought it purely as a maths book But there is a lot in here to help make a young woman feel confident and to help her dream big and realise those dreams It tells of young women who were struggling in school and struggling with sexist attitudes Struggling with their own confidence who dared to dream big and subseuently made it into some high powered jobs and the message is 'If they can do it so can you'My maths is not bad but what I know was mostly self taught Because I had some lowsy teachers I think there was a classist attitude because the grammar school went comprehensive and amalgamated with the secondary modern and I think the old grammar school teacher resented having to accept pupils from there of whom I was one So my reason for reading this book is because there are gaps in my knowledge and my math brain need exercising because it's been a long time since I needed do do much in the way of mathsThis book was not written by a grammar school teacher I was written by a very human and presumably caring person It's not dry It doesn't preach to you and it doesn't assume any prior knowledge except perhaps it helps to have read her previous book 'math doesn't suck'So thank you Danica
